There were some absolutely fantastic entries in the 2013 Pushies Galore BMX Build-Off. Some amazing imagination, creativity and accomplished execution going in to each unique build.

 

The competition opened two months before the Pushies Galore bike show. The three main conditions of the build-off were that any frame refinishing was done by the entrant (no professional paint, powder or plating), that no brand names be present on the finished frame and that before and after photos be posted on the official Pushies Galore Build-Off forum.

 

The build-off was judged on the day of the Pushies Galore show in Brisbane to allow the judges to experience the builds that they had watched unfold on the forum in person.

 

Mick Saunders’ Peter Brock tribute build took out 3rd prize, Michael Grunske’s colourful Rubik’s Cube tribute the ‘Rubike’ claimed 2nd, and I was stunned and completely stoked when my RAWR Custom Pro was announced as 1st prize winner!!
