I LOVE IT it when I stumble across talented female riders. Breaking into the BMX scene can still be a tough gig for girls, both physically and within the culture of the sport. But there’s a strong core of women who are out there making racing and shredding history and carving out a slice of serious respect for female BMXers.

‘She’s good… for a girl’ is one of those choice phrases that will never apply to young Kiwi freestyle rider Ellie Chew.
